- 4.0 out of 5 stars from momof6 -- Great Debut Novel : It is no small feat to write a novel. It is also the first step in many to come for Kate Renae. There are things in this story that portray this being a first novel, but overlooking a beginning, to the potential of the novel, I see great things for her as she continues to grow in her talents. This book has a fresh plot and storyline, which in and of itself made the reading fun. I enjoyed following the mystery and the relationship building between Will and Della. Amongst my busy week I wanted to take every opportunity possible to continue reading the story. That says something. I applaud the author for taking this first step and hope she will continue to develop the talent that she clearly has. I would recommend this book to my reader friends as one they would enjoy to read. Also I look forward to the next book Kate Renae has available for reading pleasure. I especially loved Will as he was imperfect, but so loveable because of it. I wish she had told us a little bit more about the villa in the city and it’s significance to the story. For me the MFC was a touch too emotional and self absorbed. The writing style was a little choppy too. Not my favorite book this year, but a good clean read.
